AJECL Role Model
Charles Lwanga is one of the Uganda martyrs killed in 1887 because of their faith in Jesus Christ. They were over 30 people, Protestants and Catholics combined. Charles Lwanga is known for his courage, leadership skills and charisma advice. His talents allowed him to keep these young people in the same spirit around a common goal despite persecution of King Mwanga until they are burned alive rather than deny the values of Christianity.
AJECL was created in 2004 with the intention of playing the role of St. Charles Lwanga to young Rwandans who have experienced war atrocities and Genocide against Tutsi in 1994 to assist them in rebuilding Rwandan society.
